Golf Instruction at Allentown Municipal Golf Course is provided by Jeff Wambold. Jeff has been the General Manager and Director of Instruction for Allentown Municipal since 2006 and taught over 30,000 lessons, clinics & exhibitions to juniors, women and men in his teaching career.
Jeff has been involved in golf over 53 years and has competed in tournaments for more than 48 years. He has worked as a golf professional at private and public facilities totaling 30 years.
Beginning his 'golf' career in 1974 at Oak Hill Golf Club, Jeff won numerous junior golf tournaments and capped a successful high school career with a 3rd Place finish in the 1982 NJSIAA championship. Jeff was named the "Lehigh Valley Player of the Year" in 1995, competed in the 1995 US Amateur Championship, and the 1998 US Public Links Championship. Inducted into the Lehigh Valley Golf Hall of Fame in 2012. Took the General manager and Director of Instruction position at Allentown Municipal Golf Course in 2006. My goal is to bring back Allentown as one of the best public golf courses and provide professional golf instruction to all customers.
